As the website is coming together we wanted to start documenting some of the exciting things that are happening.

This week we will be doing some major grunt work. Kim and Ryan have a perfect little building that will act as our "workshop" as we get things moving.

Thursday we will be hauling things around and setting up shop.

I have to take some time to admire the team dynamics. As Kim and I were drooling over furniture and decor ideas to kick start our product line, it became clear that our group's talents are going to fit together like puzzle pieces.

Kim, with attention to detail and a knack for darling design, created our beautiful and simplistic logos and business cards, and put the final touches on our web aesthetic. She doesn't miss a beat, making sure that no stone is left unturned as we start into this exciting new venture. Kim will be the Craftswoman working with David to make sure every piece leaves the shop perfect, and ensuring that orders make it safely to their new homes.

David is a workhorse and our Craftsman. He would rather spend less time on the business detail and more time surrounded by the haze of sawdust. While the business details might not be his cup of tea, he is meticulous about making sure every piece is perfectly crafted. He believes that these handcrafted pieces are meant to last more than a season or more than a year, but for generations to come.

Carol plays somewhat of a support role as the business Marketer. She is less of a creative marketer and more of a spreadsheet making, number crunching analyzer. Her marketing background has created a great foundation for taking the business to the next level as we promote a local business in a community that is so supportive of growing local.

Beyond the excitement of team dynamics, the idea of getting to build unique and custom products with a view like this is something that can't be beat. Like they say, if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life.

Stay tuned for the next update!
